Definition
A typed manuscript or document, from the era when 'typed' meant on an actual typewriter rather than in a programming language. The physical predecessor to Word documents, created with actual keys and correction fluid. Now also confusingly shares its name with a JavaScript superset, causing intergenerational confusion at tech companies.
Example Usage
The publisher requested a clean typescript of the manuscript, preferably without coffee stains.
