Definition
When management approves decisions that have already been made by people above them, creating the illusion of consultation and hierarchy. Basically theater with signatures.
Example Usage
The director asked for feedback on the restructuring plan, but by then it was rubber-stamped and just needed my signature.

Metaphorical term from literal rubber stamps used to quickly approve documents; applied to bureaucracy generally
