Definition
A hand position where palms face away from the body, also called an overhand grip. The standard grip for pull-ups that makes biceps sad and forearms scream.
Example Usage
The workout specified pronated grip pull-ups, eliminating the bicep assistance that made chin-ups feel almost manageable.
Origin
Anatomical terminology from kinesiology describing forearm position
Fun Fact
Switching from pronated to supinated grip (palms facing you) on pull-ups can increase bicep recruitment by over 20%, which is why chin-ups feel easier and your ego prefers them.
