The group of muscles along the back of the body including calves, hamstrings, glutes, and back muscles. Basically, everything people ignore until they get injured.

Example Usage

I dedicated Wednesdays to posterior chain development with deadlifts, good mornings, and Nordic curls.

Anatomical and functional fitness terminology; popularized by strength coaches.

Fun Fact

A weak posterior chain is linked to poor posture, lower back pain, and decreased athletic performance.
