Definition
A subatomic party animal composed of two or more quarks held together by the strong force, making it the bouncer of particle physics. These composite particles—including mesons and baryons—are basically the VIP section of matter, where quarks cluster together and refuse to be separated. Think of them as the fundamental building blocks that actually have some substance, unlike those antisocial loner electrons.
Example Usage
After smashing protons together at the Large Hadron Collider, physicists detected dozens of exotic hadrons they'd never seen before.
