Definition

A set structure with brief rest periods (10-30 seconds) between small rep clusters, allowing higher quality reps with heavier weights. The commercial break approach to strength training.

Example Usage

Instead of straight sets of five, we're doing cluster sets with 15-second rests after every two reps to maintain bar speed and power.

Fun Fact

Cluster sets allow lifters to complete more total reps at higher percentages of their max compared to traditional straight sets.
