Definition
An abnormal cellular growth that decided to ignore all the rules and multiply without permission. Could be benign (minding its own business) or malignant (actively trying to spread)āwhich is precisely why biopsies were invented.

The biopsy revealed the tumor was benign, much to the patient's relief.
