Definition

A humorous observation that the longer an online conversation continues, the more likely it will eventually devolve into discussions of poop or feces. It's basically Godwin's Law for scatological humor.

Example Usage

We started talking about philosophy in the Discord and ended up debating Types of Poop—that's The Caruana Principle in action.
