Definition

A smaller nuclear weapon designed for localized destruction, because apparently we decided to make nuclear war a little less terrifying. It's splitting the difference between 'oops' and 'genocide.'

The defense contractor pitched tactical nukes as a more precise alternative to traditional nuclear weapons, which is a concerning sales pitch.
