Definition
An intense, often punitive physical training session designed to exhaust and discipline soldiers. Has nothing to do with tobacco and everything to do with suffering.
Example Usage
After three people failed room inspection, the whole platoon got a smoke session until someone threw up.
Origin
Possibly from 'smoking' as slang for thoroughly defeating or exhausting someone
Fun Fact
Modern regulations have attempted to limit smoke sessions, but creative NCOs have found countless ways to deliver 'corrective training' that technically complies with the letter of the law.
