An exclamation expressing disbelief, appreciation, or being impressed—often accompanied by exaggerated finger-pointing gestures. The auditory equivalent of keyboard smashing.

Origin

While 'sheesh' existed as a general exclamation, it exploded in 2021 through TikTok and NBA culture

The term became so associated with a specific high-pitched intonation and finger-pointing pose that it spawned thousands of parody videos.
