Regents Exams

Definition

Standardized state exams that high school students have to pass—the academic checkpoint that separates the 'done' from the 'still suffering.' Getting through them is a rite of passage many New York students use to flex on their peers.

My friend finished finals early, but I was stuck saying, 'What's a Regents? Oh right, that thing I still have to pass.'
