Definition
When your lungs decide to throw an inflammatory tantrum, usually because bacteria, viruses, or other microscopic troublemakers crashed the party. Your air sacs fill with fluid instead of air, leaving you gasping like you're running a marathon in a pillow factory. It's respiratory revenge.
Example Usage
The chest X-ray confirmed bacterial pneumonia, so the doctor prescribed a two-week course of antibiotics and strict bed rest.
