Training with maximum possible intensity, typically near or at one-rep max loads. The Westside Barbell principle that separates the brave from the smart.

Origin
Popularized by Louie Simmons and Westside Barbell in the 1980s-90s as part of the Conjugate Method.
Fun Fact
Westside Barbell rotates max effort exercises weekly to prevent accommodation (staleness) and reduce injury risk from constant maximal loading.
