Definition

Abnormally low blood glucose levels. When your blood sugar decides to ghost you, leaving your brain confused and your hands shaking.

Example Usage

The diabetic patient experienced severe hypoglycemia and required immediate IV dextrose to prevent loss of consciousness.

From Greek 'hypo' (below) and 'glykys' (sweet), referencing glucose

Fun Fact

Severe hypoglycemia can cause seizures, loss of consciousness, and permanent brain damage within minutes. Blood sugar is no joke.
