Dunkaroos

Definition

A packaged snack consisting of chocolate chip or candy-coated cookies paired with a sweet frosting dip and colorful candy sprinkles, produced by General Mills. The snack is designed to be assembled by the consumer, dipping cookies into the icing and then into the sprinkles.

Example Usage

Dunkaroos were the ideal snack because you could customize the sweetness level with however much frosting you wanted.

Origin

Introduced by General Mills in 1992 as an interactive snack experience combining cookies, frosting, and sprinkles.

Fun Fact

Dunkaroos were discontinued in the U.S. in 2012 but remained available in Canada, leading to successful crowdfunding campaigns that brought them back in 2015.
