a friend or person you cuddle, nuzzle, or just show affection to in non-sexual ways but arent dating. you can call them up whenever you feel down or touch starved or just need a kiss on the cheek.

person a: man i really want some company in bed :
person b: why dont you get tinder then?
person a: no i dont mean sex. i just want someone to spoon and cuddle and all that domestic crap. but i also dont want a significant other.
person b: oh then you should find a cuddle buddy.
