Cloud-Native

Intermediate 💻 Tech / IT

Definition

An application designed to live in the cloud and panic if it can't access the internet, usually meaning it's more expensive and complicated than the original system.

Example Usage

We rewrote our on-premise system to be cloud-native, and now we pay 3x more and have worse performance, but at least we can brag about it at conferences.
