A moral and behavioral alignment (originating in tabletop RPGs) describing someone or something unpredictable and unruly but fundamentally well-intentioned and working toward good outcomes.

My friend is chaotic good—she'll show up unannounced with a wild plan, but somehow it always helps people.

From the nine-point alignment system in Dungeons & Dragons (1974), adopted into mainstream internet vernacular by the 2010s
