Definition

In team-based games, when one player or small group performs exceptionally well and largely enables their team to win despite other teammates underperforming. The 'carried' player is the one being supported by the superior performer.

Example Usage

I got carried hard by our best player—I played terribly but we still won.

Origin

Gaming slang, derived from the literal sense of 'carrying' a load for someone else.

Fun Fact

The opposite is 'hard carry,' where one player does the carrying rather than being carried.
