Definition
A yellow bile pigment produced when your red blood cells get recycled—nature's way of turning old blood into a bruise color palette. High levels turn you jaundiced, which is the medical equivalent of looking like you've been spray-tanned by a sadist.
Example Usage
The newborn's elevated bilirubin levels required phototherapy to prevent kernicterus.
